Neon Drift Rally

Neon Drift Rally is pure arcade racing joy. The tracks wind through neon-lit cities and the whole game is tuned around chaining drifts to build boost. It feels fast in a way a lot of mobile racers don't, and the tilt controls are surprisingly responsive once you calibrate them in the settings.

There are three control schemes — tilt, touch steering, and a tap-to-turn assist — and I'd nudge newcomers toward the assist first. The framerate held steady on our mid-tier test device, though the phone did warm up noticeably after a few races back to back.

Battery drain is on the higher side, as you'd expect from a game pushing this many light effects. Great for a focused twenty-minute burst, less ideal for a marathon.
