About

Pocket Verdict started because we were tired of reviews written from a spec sheet. Someone would rate a game five stars without mentioning that it eats 30% battery in twenty minutes or that the touch controls fight you every step of the way. We wanted a place that talks about the boring but important stuff.,The team is small. We pass phones around, argue about frame drops, and keep a shared spreadsheet of playtime. Every game in our catalog has been played for at least a couple of hours, usually more, across different devices so we can spot the ones that only run well on flagships.,We pick games by genre variety, not hype. A racing game, a slow strategy title, a cozy fishing game, a proper RPG — they all get judged on their own terms. If something bores us or crashes constantly, we say so.,We don't take payment for coverage and we don't run a scoring formula behind the scenes. The ratings are just what the editors thought after playing. That's the whole point of the name.
